▸ Where does the X214 sit in the range?Above the X21 (7.5 mph, no side armrests) and below the X25 (9.9 mph, 300 lb, 1.5 HP) and X218. It's the pick if you want more than 7.5 mph but don't need the X25's capacity.
▸ Is 8.7 mph fast enough?8.7 mph is roughly a 6:55 mile. That covers tempo runs and most interval work for recreational runners.
▸ Can I walk on it at a desk?Yes. Fold the handrail down and it runs in walking mode. It's taller than a dedicated pad, so check desk clearance.
▸ What does the interactive light do?A light strip along the deck changes with your speed, so you can read your pace without looking at the console.
▸ Does it need assembly?No. It arrives folded; raise the handrail, plug in and go.

You can add an extended protection plan from Consumer Priority Service (CPS), our warranty partner, when you order. It begins where the 12-month manufacturer warranty ends and can take total coverage up to six years.

Best for tempo runs — you're on it
KingSmith X214 — faster than the X21, lighter than anything above it.
It adds genuine running speed and full side armrests without moving up to a frame you can no longer shift on your own. The trade-off: it carries the same weight rating as the X21, so heavier runners should look further up the range.
